Spoiler alert: The first Bachie pash of the season has happened

The second night of The Bachelor has seen Ten hold its top position in the ratings, with 824,000 viewers tuning in to see the first pash of the series.

The Network Ten hit was the most watched entertainment program and the fifth most watched program of the night, according to the preliminary overnight OzTam figures.

As always Twitter was abuzz with Bachie fans joining in on the conversation with the hashtag #TheBachelorAU. Top tweets came from Chrissie Swan, Channel Ten and host Osher Gunsburg. Check out the top 10 tweets from last night's debut episode here.

The Bachelor beat out ABC’s Check Out show and Seven’s The Chase Australia.

Despite the Bachelor’s big audience pull, Seven Network still won the night overall with 26.6% audience share, followed by Nine with 25.2%.
