Media Thursdays kicked off its DJ competition last night, with eight hopefuls from Safe’n’sound, HM Communications Group, Finder Media, Shopper Media, William Hill and Mediacom hitting the decks for a chance to win a trip to Ibiza.

From Nine, Mindshare, HM, Finder, Ooh! and more, 250 media execs flocked to the Burdekin Rooms to catch the DJ talent and enjoy a few drinks and complementary Mad Pizza.

This month, Media Thursdays upped its game adding a media wall to the event. You can check out all the pics below.

Media Thursdays is organised by Ashel marketing executive Andrew Lowther; News Corp digital account manager, Clem Birdsall and Mindshare media executive Raymond Ly.

Lowther told AdNews that the positive feedback from the event and the number of people that support Media Thursdays makes the behind the scenes work worth it.

"With Media Thursdays really starting to get traction within the advertising community, it’s great to see a whole range of people from various roles in various disciplines come together as a collective group," Lowther adds.

Birdsall says: "There was a great mix of companies that were very open to networking, the DJ's killed it all night, the place was pumping and the two levels made it feel like a festival thinking about who you needed to go and see."

"Everyone is excited for the next event after seeing the calibre of last night's event."
