Now the Games have officially come to an end, so has AdNews poll on the best and worst ads of the Rio Olympics. More than 1000 people casted their vote on work from McDonald's, Optus, Coca-Cola, Visa and more, but there was one clear winner.

Optus is taking home the gold for its humorous spot featuring Ian Thorpe, Lee Lee Chin and The Bondi Hipsters. It came out in front with an impressive 88% of the votes.

The tongue-in-cheek ad, by We Are Social and Emotive, encouraged Australians to show support to Olympians using the hashtag #FanUpAUS.

In second place was McDonald's campaign for the non-Olympians

Taking home the bronze was the emotional UNHCR ad for #TeamRefugees.
