Channel Nine's The Block has delivered the largest non-sport ratings this year with more than 2.1 million metropolitan viewers tuning in to see the winners announced last night.
This bettered the finale of My Kitchen Rules (1.96 million) and MasterChef (1.88 million) earlier this year.
The winner announced show rated above The Block's grand final, which attracted a metropolitan audience of 1.7 million viewers.
Queensland couple Will Bethune and Karlie Cicero pocketed $815,000 after their ground floor apartment sold for $2.6 million.
It is the second highest profit in the show's history after Darren and Deanne netted $935,000 in series 10.
After The Block came in Nine's 60 Minutes, with 1.3 million viewers, which beat the news and Seven's Sunday Night with 770,000 viewers. The X-Factor attracted an average audience of 559,000 viewers.
Nine had the largest share of audience with its main channel attracting 30.4% of viewers between 6pm and midnight. Seven came in second with a 16.8% share, followed by the ABC with 10.5%.
