In a time where ad blocking is popular and advertisers are seen as annoying, the Super Bowl is a gift for advertising as people choose to tune in to the commercials. This year some brands chose to venture into the political realm, where others kept it light. Here’s what Iris' Jon Kelly, DDB's Ben Welsh and Havas' Stuart Turner thought of some of 2017's best Super Bowl spots.
Welsh: "It's a good thing the magic occurred during game-time as the work was more deflated than Tom Brady's balls."
Kelly: "There's more or less everything here without an emo-ad in sight; the average, the weird, the wonderful, the big brand relaunch and the conversationally controversial."
Turner: "Big ads, massive risks and all at a scquizillion dollars a second."

2. Romance - Skittles, adam&eveDDB
3. Cleaner of Your Dreams - Mr Clean, Leo Burnett Toronto
