Former Cadreon Australia MD Marc Lomas was one of many plucked from Down Under to relocate to the US alongside Tajer.
However, 15 months into his stateside gig, and just a month after his Sydney MD replacement Jess White arrived in new York, Lomas has been poached by global online goods and streaming giant Amazon.
His new job, as global head of client services, programmatic self-service, is based in NYC. Speaking to AdNews, Tajer wished him well.
“Marc did a great job for us both in Australia and here so we were sad to see him leave but happy for him at the same time because he is taking on a great role that really suited his skills and aspirations,” Tajer said.
White will not take over Lomas' role of SVP programmatic, East, she is instead now VP strategy and solutions.
Lomas was one of many that left Australia to join Tajer in the US. He followed Aussie talent Mat Baxter; Starcom Mediavest chairman John Sintras; former managing partner of Starcom MediaVest Group Australia Dianne Richardson; Mnet's Travis Johnson and media auditor Charles Godbold.
Baxter's long-rumoured move stateside was a major industry talking point at the time. He handed over the running of UM Australia to former Soap MD Ross Raeburn. Raeburn had been MD of Soap for five years and has almost two decades of experience as a digital strategist.
Baxter was initially appointed as IPG Mediabrands commercial director, but in July last year he became the global CEO of Initiative.
