RadiumOne's commercial director Patrick Darcy is set to take on the MD spot at IPG Mediabrands' ad tech unit Cadreon, AdNews can reveal.
Darcy fills the role held by Jess White, who as revealed in August, will exit her Sydney-based gig to join IPG Mediabrands New York. Cadreon, which has 90 staff, is headquartered in Sydney.
White took on the MD position in July 2015, from her GM role, after her boss Marc Lomas was recruited for a NYC SVP of programmatic job. He was one of a few from a pool of talent that global CEO at IPG Mediabrands Henry Tajer plucked for US spots.
Darcy has been commercial director APAC at marketing tech business RadiumOne for two years. He joined RadiumOne, headed by MD Adam Furness, in 2014 from a director of programmatic trading role at Mi9. Prior to that he worked at Microsoft.
Two months ago IPG Mediabrands combined its analytics and insights business Anomaly with programmatic arm Cadreon. The new, unified Mediabrands business sits under ‘Cadreon’ and is led by CEO Darren Stein, who was MD of Anomaly.
Darren Stein, CEO of Cadreon, says Darcy’s skills and experience were a "special and very deliberate fit" within the design of Cadreon’s future senior leadership team.
“We are presenting clients with a complete approach to creating and activating insight-led, personalised communications across digital media channels," Stein says.
"We’re introducing seamless connectivity of digital consumer analytics and insights to implementation and Pat’s experience and skills will be central to developing our business.”
