Spark Foundry has appointed former Leo Burnette strategy director Linda Fagerlund as national head of strategy.
Fagerlund, who has been working on a contract at News Corp for the past year, will be responsible for leading Spark Foundry’s client strategy team nationally.
“We are thrilled that Linda has joined as our national head of strategy,” Spark Foundry CEO Australia Sue Squillace said.
“Her strategic experience in media agencies, creative agencies and with media owners sets us up perfectly to accelerate our clients’ business and our business in our evolving agency model, that is purpose built for our clients.”
Fagerlund led the connections strategy team at Leos in Sydney a year ago, where she was responsible for aligning digital, social, media and PR thinking more closely with the creative process. This included connections strategy across Diageo's brands.
Leo Burnette and Spark Foundry enjoy a close working relationship with the Publicis Groupe in Australia.
Prior to that, Fagerlund led strategic partnerships and solutions at News Corp's customer solutions studio for major agencies and brands, including IKON and Blue 449 for Vodafone, Coca Cola, PepsiCo, Pfizer and IKEA, among other clients.
She has also previously worked at Blue 449 (then Match Media) and Ikon Communications.
