It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.
Canva
OMD has been appointed as media agency of record for visual communications platform Canva. The Australian company was recently valued at $19.3 billion, making it one of the world’s fastest growing private tech companies. OMD Sydney will be responsible for media strategy, planning and buying for Canva.
Curtin University
Independent media agency Match & Wood has won the Curtin University domestic media account in a competitive tender. Match & Wood, which has offices in both Perth and Melbourne, will handle media strategy, planning, buying and data analytics across all channels within Australia. Longreach Media and Carat previously shared media duties for the university. The university will continue working with Sydney-based Global Rev Gen for international media planning and buying.
Active Super
Active Super has appointed Slik as its strategic and creative lead agency following a competitive pitch. After 24 years, Local Government Super has rebranded with a new look and new name - Active Super. Slik will help Active Super navigate a digital business transformation over the next three years, bringing its new brand to market with a clear brand strategy and integrated launch campaign. The rebrand and the new campaign, which was a collaboration between SLIK, Principals, XXVI, Deepend and Agnes Media, will run across video on demand, OOH, radio, print, social media and programmatic.
Zolo
Independent agency Agnes Media has been appointed by Zolo, Australia's first profit-for-purpose tech-cycling company, as it looks to scale by helping businesses meet their sustainability objectives. Agnes, which was engaged without a pitch, will manage performance media and digital marketing for Zolo across business-to-business channels to drive greater brand awareness and engagement with mid to enterprise-level organisations.
