We all know adland throws a great bash and the arrival of December signals a hamper full of them.
As the Christmas party season gets underway AdNews takes a cheeky peek at who is doing what. From creative shop's TBWA's Eurovision-themed celebration to the Cummins&Partners party that caused a stir with the neighbours, we've got all the pics from all the top festivities.
Cummins&Partners' all nighter
Cummins&Partners kicked off their Christmas party at their offices in St Kilda with 250 of their nearest and dearest. Attendees got into the 'Welcome to the jungle' with one party goer rocking a real snake and another dressed as a giant gorilla. The event went on to the early hours of the morning, much to the dismay of one of the agency's neighbours who posted a seies of tweets, including: "I hope cumminspartners treats its client Red Cross AU better than it treats its neighbours. It's 3am guys, time to turn your music off." Yikes.
TBWA's sequined soiree
TBWA channeled its inner diva with a Eurovision-themed celebration fit for a queen. From latex morph suits to six inch heels, staff and guests from TBWA dressed to the nines at the Homestead at Centennial Park. The main attraction was performers from amazing Lebanese drummers from DJ Appolo who took the crowd by storm.
Eggmobi takes the Ivy’s roof off with its #MFXMASPARTY
Mobile digital creative agency, eggMobi, took the roof off with their funky-cocktail themed #MFXMASPARTY this year, held at the Ivy Penthouse. Over 100 staff and guests enjoyed the luxurious rooftop pad complete with very own hot tub. The main attraction was the DJs, yes more than one, photobooth, candybar, dessert themed shots, and drinks flowing all night. See the pics below.
Quantcast hits the decks
Hundreds of people from across the industry gathered on board the Seadeck for one of the first Christmas bashes of the season, courtesy of digital marketing tech company Quantcast. From clients to agencies such as Carat, PHD, Bohemia and Che Proximity, the rabble of about 250 people supped Champagne and enjoyed canapés such as scallops, as well as a goats cheese and beetroot ice cream. The boat, decked out in navy, charcoal and white with custom lounges in the stylish minimalist space, had three different floors and for those that fancied a flutter, there were a few blackjack and roulette hotspots too.
Atomic 212's white party
The indy media shop’s party, held at Simmer on the Bay, saw the agency’s offices unite, as well as clients and media owners. Dressed all in white, with a few astronauts thrown in for good measure, attendees swanked about supping cocktails while sampling dumplings and other canapés. Casino tables were in full swing with cash featuring a trio of familiar faces - CEO Jason Dooris, chairman Barry O’Brien and chief digital officer James Dixon, who launched the business back
in 2014. Check out our photo gallery for a glimpse. The agency also used the occasion to carry out its monthly staff recognition presentation and handed out four unusual trophies.
AdRoll pulls a crowd
AdRoll had its Christmas celebration at the Sea Deck this year, drawing crowds of shirtless men in budgy smugglers - and some in suits too. More than 200 people attended the celebration, from Amex, Red Balloon, ASUS, The Iconic and more.
