Procter and Gamble has been revealed as the headline sponsor of the Australian Magazine Awards.
Mark Lollback, CEO of GroupM and former CMO of McDonald’s, is the chair of the judges this year and he will be supported by a group of high level media and marketing execs.
“P&G is proud to be supporting the 2016 Australian Magazine Awards. Consumers are at the heart of everything we do and print and magazine brands continue to be an influential vehicle to help us reach and connect with our consumers and encourage trial of our brands and products,” says Alicia Spyrou, communications leader P&G Australia & NZ.
AdNews editor Rosie Baker says: “As one of the biggest advertisers in the country and a great proponent of print advertising and magazine brands it's great to see a company such as Procter & Gamble supporting the Australian Magazine Awards, and the Australian publishing industry. We're thrilled to have P&G on board.”
The awards have been updated this year with several new and evolved categories to reflect the changing dynamics magazine publishers face. Categories recognise excellence in overall brand performance in print, digital, marketing, content, events and growth areas such as e-commerce.
Entries close this week on 23 September. The full entry kit is here, with criteria for each category and updated rules around providing audited readership figures.
The awards and the annual Hall of Fame inductee will be presented at a breakfast event on 11 November at Sydney's Ivy Ballroom. Last year Donna Hay was named in the Hall of Fame.
