The Australian Magazine Awards are now open for entry. The Awards are designed to celebrate and award the most successful, innovative and impactful magazine brands and publishers in Australia.
This year there are a few new categories and some categories that have evolved to bring them more in line with the changing dynamics of the magazine industry.
We've added Designer of the Year category to recognise the production values and aesthetics that go into producing a beautiful magazine magazine and the Best use of Multi Media category to recognise the cross-platform nature of magazine brands.
Meanwhile the former Native Advertising category has evolved into the Best Content Marketing Campaign of the Year award and the previous website and app categories have been merged to become the Digital Brand of the Year award.
The full entry kit is here, with criteria for each category and updated rules around providing audited readership figures.
James Yaffa, publisher of AdNews and the AMAs, said: “The AMAs have gained considerable ground in being recognised as an entirely independent and inclusive program. A judging panel of top-level media buyers and clients will assess the overall brand performance in areas such as; print, digital, content, events and growth areas such as e-commerce.”
The awards and the annual Hall of Fame inductee will be presented at a breakfast event on 11 November at Sydney's Ivy Ballroom. Last year Donna Hay was named in the Hall of Fame.
Entries close on 23 September. More information and the entry kit can be found here.
