Carat launches South Australia office
Media agency Carat has launched its fifth office in Australia, as part of its growth agenda. The business acquired and rebranded what was the old MediaCom office in Adelaide.
Carat South Australia will be an affiliate partner to Carat Australia, launching with 16 staff and more than $50m in client billings.
The Dentsu-owned agency said it launches with a strong local client base increasing the scale of the Carat brand and delivering both national and regional growth.
The office's general manager will be Vikki Friscic, who said: “The decision to align with Carat was taken to ensure that we could continue to provide the best possible media service to our clients. Our focus is on continuing to grow their and our businesses”.
Foxtel Go expands Android compatibility
As of today (Mon), Foxtel Residential and Foxtel Play subscribers can watch movies and TV shows on any Android device running Android Jellybean 4.1 and above. The new Foxtel Go update for Android also includes support for Android M.
The news follows Foxtel’s recent move to provide quick access to Foxtel Go programming for new subscribers within 15 minutes of completing their sales order - marking an “even greater level of access” for subscribers eager to take Foxtel’s programing with them on the move.
Heather Maltman and Osher Günsberg join SCA Summer
Heather Maltman and Osher Günsberg are joining Southern Cross Austereo's Hit Network over summer, with the duo taking up the airwaves for the first time today.
Maltman first appeared as a contestant on Ten's The Bachelor this year, which Günsberg also takes part on as a host.
"To me working with Osher will be like bathing in milk," Maltman said. "It's a little weird, but once in, you start to wonder why you didn't do it sooner. He's an intelligent, hard working, funny man who challenges the way I think. I cannot wait to bust a rhyme with this kid on radio."
The Thinkergirls join Kiis Network
Podcast duo, The Thinkergirls, Stacey June and Kristie Mercer, will be starting a new national night show on the Kiis Network from January next year.
The pair are best known for their podcast Thinkergirls: The Podcast, where their sketch videos have reached more than a million views.
ARN National Agency Sales Director Matt Granger said the addition of a national nights show would further strengthen the KIIS Network’s commercial offering.
“The national Kiis Network already has a compelling offering for advertisers and clients, and our new night show with The Thinkergirls reinforces our commitment to creating engaging content across multiple platforms, where we can deliver even greater integrated communication solutions for our agencies and clients.”
