Former brand lead at eBay and Marketing Academy graduate, Tracy Hall, has joined US internet domain giant GoDaddy as marketing director for Australia and New Zealand.
Sydney-based Hall will be responsible for expanding GoDaddy’s global marketing efforts while ensuring its translation locally.
The firm is the largest domain registrar in the world and is know for creating some risqué TV ads in the US, many of which have aired at the Super Bowl. TBWA and GoDaddy launched the first all-Aussie campaign in March last year.
Prior to the move to the NYSE-listed firm, Hall was head of brand and marketing communications at eBay Australia. She was there for four and a half years and was accountable for driving brand strategy, investment, positioning, execution and monitoring/reporting of all brand related activities.
While at eBay, she led an 11% increase in 'Top of Mind Awareness' of the brand, elevating it to second most influential brand in Australia (IPSOS 2015).
Hall also took part in The Marketing Academy in 2016, in which just 30 of the industry’s brightest minds are selected to take part in a leadership program.
Prior to that she worked at Virgin Mobile Australia as senior brand and communications manager.

GoDaddy vice president and managing director ANZ Tara Commerford says the appointment continues to build on the growth of its Australia and New Zealand operations, empowering small business owners and entrepreneurs in Australia to start, grow and successfully run their own ventures online.
“There are more than two million small businesses in Australia, making up 97% of all registered businesses, but surprisingly 60% of them do not have a website,” Commerford says.
TBWA and GoDaddy launched the first all-Aussie campaign in March last year:
“GoDaddy continues to be dedicated to encouraging Aussie small businesses to grow their ventures online. We are delighted to have Tracy join our growing team, bringing her deep experience delivering integrated marketing strategies to help encourage Australians to pursue their passions online.”
As marketing director, Hall will be positioning GoDaddy as the top of mind domain, hosting and website building partner for Australian small businesses and entrepreneurs, “through strategic direction, execution and marketing optimisation”.
