Adland is full of big moves at the moment. Here are the movers and shakers of this week:

SCA's chief digital head to exit

After a year in the chief digital officer spot at Southern Cross Austereo, having taken over from Clive Dickens, Vijay Solanki is set to leave the business as the first step of SCA's digital transformation is now complete.

Tasked to drive digital transformation at SCA, having taken over from director of digital of innovation Dickens, who left for Seven West Media, Solanki tells AdNews that his core “job is done” as he embarks on the next step of his career. Read more here.

IAG promotes senior marketer to lead NRMA

IAG has promoted Jane Merrick to the role of general manager, marketing and customer experience, within its Australian Consumer Division. Merrick will lead marketing, product design, customer communications, customer relations and customer experience for the insurer’s largest personal insurance brand, NRMA Insurance. Read more here.

The Works, Ogilvy and BWM bolster creative teams

The Works has appointed Phil Watson as a creative partner off the back of its recent appointment to the new Optus roster.

In addition, Ogilvy Melbourne has promoted a number of senior staff. Ogilvy's general manager client service Michael McEwan and head of strategy Gavin MacMillan will both be managing the agency as managing partners, while retaining their current roles.

BWM Dentsu Sydney has also had a creative shake-up, welcoming new creative team Oskar Westerdal and Jerome Gaslain to the team. Read more here.

Nova restructures Create team

Nova has restructured its in-house creative unit, Create, in both Sydney and Melbourne. Under the new structure, Kate Day will lead the team in the role of national commercial strategy director. Day has been with Create since its inception in 2011. As part of the restructure Kim Kerton has been promoted to the role of Sydney head of Create and Andy Milne has been promoted to the newly created role of head of creative service. Read more here.

Marcel hires digital creative

Marcel, the recently opened Publicis agency headed up by David Nobay, has hired a digital creative director. Bridget Jung has more than 20 years experience. She is formerly chief creative officer at DigitasLBi Paris and has worked on clients including Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Lancôme. Read more here.

BMF boosts creative team

BMF has bolstered its creative team with the appointment of Tim Bishop as associate creative director and the appointment of two new teams: creative duo Jess Roberts and Justin Butler, together with Nadia Ahmad and Tom Johnson. Read more here.

Isobar promotes Thomas Tearle

 Isobar has promoted Thomas Tearle to the role of general manager of its Sydney office, where he will be charged with executing the overall Isobar strategy in Sydney.

Tearle has been a group account director in the Sydney office for the past two years, driving Isobar’s clients’ business forward and building the account service team. Previous to his time at Isobar, Tom has over 11 year’s digital experience spanning London and Australia, most recently with WPP in Sydney.
