Lavender appoints CEO as founder steps up
Lavender has appointed a new CEO to lead the agency as founder Will Lavender steps up into a chairman role. DigitasLBi Asia Pacific CEO Roy Capon will take the reins from 18 July, working alongside the agency's senior partners, head of technology Clint Bauer and executive creative director Marco Eychenne. M&C Saatchi promotes Andy Flemming
M&C Saatchi has promoted creative director Andy Flemming to group creative director. In the role, Flemming will be responsible for driving the creative vision across the group’s agencies as well as ensuring copy standards, as he has a passion for writing – you can check out his articles on AdNews here. Flemming joined M&C Saatchi in 2006, previously working for VW Beetle, Chiat/Day/Mojo and George Patterson. He’s been responsible for penning some of the Group’s biggest campaigns including the CAN Launch with Toni Collette and almost every major Optus campaign from the agency including Idris Elba’s ‘Love letter to football’.
Host names creative leadership team
Host has revealed its new creative line up, with Chris Little joining the agency after eight years at M&C Saatchi. Little was creative director at M&C and he will be joined at Host by the newly promoted Jon Austin who has also been named creative director. Austin is joined by Kirsty Gavin who was formally head of art at Droga5 Sydney, in rounding out the line-up. The CD team will head up a growing pool of diverse creative talent, including recent hires Josie Burns, Matt Ennis and Daniel Barrett.
Phil wades in as new CMO
Jetstar has announced Phil Wade as its new chief marketing officer as current marketer Liz McCarthy moves to a new role. McCarthy is set to head up the Jetstar Group’s customer care and shared services functions across APAC, leaving and Wade to start the role from 1 July.
Jetstar Group Chief Commercial Officer Catriona Larritt said Wade has a strong pedigree in marketing and e-commerce and under his leadership it’ll re-double its focus on data and digital to help ensure it's reaching more customers in a more relevant and personalised way than ever before.
CBS Interactive creates new marketer spot
CBS Interactive, which late last year launched a local team for its branded content studio, has hired Neil O’Sullivan as its senior product marketing manager for the Asia Pacific region.Based in Sydney, O’Sullivan will be responsible developing and launching new digital products while working with marketers on crafting branding programs. In this newly created role, his remit will span the entirety of CBS Interactive’s vertical publishing portfolio in APAC including sites such as CNET, Gamespot, and TechRepublic.
O’Sullivan hails from Ireland and is a 10 year marketing veteran who most recently worked for the Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA).
