The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) has announced two executives from Coles Group, CEO Steven Cain and CMO Lisa Ronson, will appear in a joint session at RESET on November 27.
Both Cain and Ronson have over 20 years of experience working in their respective industries of retail and marketing.
After heading up Metcash for three years, Cain became chief executive officer of the Coles Group in 2018 and was joined by Ronson in her role as chief marketing officer in 2019, following a four-year stint at Tourism Australia.
Delegates can expect to gain some insight behind the working relationship between a CEO and CMO and hear how they have navigated challenges the business has faced and how they plan to move forward as Australians learn to live with the COVID-19 virus.
“A great partnership between a CMO and CEO is critical for ensuring a business is operating at its highest potential. I think marketers will be able to take a lot away from listening to Lisa and Steven discuss how they’ve strengthened their working relationship over time, and have worked together to overcome some significant challenges," the ANNA CEO John Broome says.
“One of Coles’ four key values is customer obsession, and data-driven consumer insights were behind the introduction of more than 1,500 new SKUs during Coles’ last financial year. Our audience will be particularly interested to learn how the marketing function interacts with the CEO and other leaders in the business to drive customer obsession and product innovation in the business."
Also speaking at RESET is former Prime Minister the Hon. Julia Gillard AC, iDiC CEO Adam Goodes, Telstra CEO and MD Andy Penn, MECCA Brands founder and co-CEO Jo Horgan and Who Gives A Crap co-founder and CEO Simon Griffiths.
