A new campaign encouraging women to get to know their lemons has already reach more than seven million people worldwide.
Founder and director of Worldwide Breast Cancer in London, Corrine Ellsworth Beaumont, has designed a new campaign which outlines the symptomatic changes during breast cancer.
Using the yellow fruit, 'Know Your Lemons' illustrates 12 of the most common physical differences in breasts that could be cancerous. From bumps to indentation and dimpling, the visual campaign tells audiences that if you find new changes like this that stay around, you should show your doctor.
Having been released on the Worldwide Breast Cancer Facebook page only a week ago, the leading image of the campaign – 12 lemons sitting in an egg carton – has reached more than 7.3 million people alone.
Other images in the campaign include a dissected lemon which maps possibly affected areas, a step-by-step process of what to do if you find a symptom, as well as playful images of lemons which encourage women to get to know theirs. Each image can be bought in poster form through the Worldwide Breast Cancer Facebook page with the profits going towards breast cancer research funding.
