Swans and Storm agree - pay through carsales is the real MVP.
carsales has united two of Australia’s most iconic sporting teams - AFL’s Sydney Swans and NRL’s Melbourne Storm - in a campaign via creative and production agency, Two Tractors.
Blending sporting rivalry with a comedic twist, the campaign highlights the ease of buying and selling through carsales and marks an exciting milestone, bringing together players from both codes in the same campaign for the first time.
As sponsors of both teams, carsales’ new campaign places Swans and Storm on the same field where players face off, not in a game of footy, but in a light-hearted parody of the common tension points of buying and selling a car online.
The hero of the campaign is a collaborative ad shot in a familiar post-match interview style but with a twist.
As the ‘interview’ unfolds, the players drop classic footy clichés and trade playful jabs about their respective codes before revealing that the real game-changer was pay through carsales – a safer and easier way to get the deal done.
The campaign stars Swans’ Isaac Heeney, Errol Gulden, and Nick Blakey alongside Storm’s Bronson Garlick, Tyran Wishart, and Jack Howarth, bringing their on-field energy and charisma to the screen.
carsales managing director Paul Barlow said this a fun and engaging way to highlight how buying and selling a car is quicker, easier, and more secure through carsales.
"Pay through carsales changes the game by minimising the friction of online transactions," Barlow said .
"We’ve seen strong adoption of this solution, and we’re thrilled to have the Swans and Storm bring this message to life in such an entertaining way.”
The ads will run across in-stadium big screens, social media, and digital channels, to AFL and NRL fans alike as both teams kick off their seasons this weekend.
