Alternative lender for small businesses Lumi has launched its first ever television commercial featuring small business owners in the hospitality, design, automotive, manufacturing and retail spaces.
Created with the help of agency Advertising Advantage, the campaign aims to promote Lumi’s services and its new loan offering extended to $200,000, which was announced last week.
The alternative lender also extended its loan period from 12 months to 18 months.
Yanir Yakutiel, CEO and founder of Lumi, says there is a growing demand for small business loans since the Hayne Royal Commission.
“Australia’s small business lending sector is a growing and competitive market. With the banks turning away from small business lending, it’s incredibly important that we show there are solutions out there that meet the needs of Aussie small businesses," Yakutiel says.
"At Lumi we understand the value and role that small businesses play within the Australian economy, and we want them to be able to achieve their dreams and serve their customers and clients to the best of their ability.
“We created our first TV commercial in collaboration with Advertising Advantage to get in front of small businesses and demonstrate how much better small business lending can be. SMB owners need quick approvals and simple, easy to understand lending terms.
"Thanks to increased competition from lenders like Lumi, small businesses can get a loan for up to two hundred thousand dollars within the same day, something you would virtually never get from a bank.”
Having recently raised an additional $8 million in capital in April this year, Yakutiel says this is being used to both extend its loan offering and for ramping up marketing activity.
Advertising Advantage’s managing partner, Wally Muhieddine was excited to have worked on the commercial with Lumi.
“Lumi has a wonderful proposition for small business owners, and we really enjoyed working with the Lumi team to deliver that message in their new TVC," Muhieddine says.
"Television is a great medium to reach small to medium business and our expert media buying team at ADAD have planned a highly targeted media plan that is on air from today."
The commercial is being broadcast via Foxtel.
