Kit Kat parodies Australian politics (and Lara Bingle) in its new ad.
The new campaign for Kit Kat parodies the well-known ‘Where the bloody hell are you?’ ad and the Federal election.
In the ad, Dale Jeffries launches The Breakers Party in an attempt to get people to take more breaks.
Created by J Walter Thompson Sydney, the spot reinforces Kit Kat’s long term “Have a Break” proposition.
Jeffries says: “Like all my fellow Australians, I love my breaks. But where the bloody hell are all the breakers?”
J Walter Thompson Sydney group digital creative director Jay Morgan says: “As a nation we’re over worked, under holidayed and in need for a break from politics. The Breakers Party is a political party with only one mission: to bring the people of Australia more breaks.”
Twitter is also used to support the Breakers Party online video content, pushed out via Facebook, YouTube and pre-rolls throughout the campaign.
The campaign also introduces five brand new pack designs – one for each minister in The Breakers Party – which use a unique Shazam entry mechanic to automatically direct consumers to The Breakers Party website.
