Is it rude to try before you buy? The latest campaign from Herbal Essence is telling women it’s okay to crack the cap on its products or sample a grape in the supermarket.

Herbal Essences is encouraging customers to crack the cap on its products in a new ad aimed to educate women on shopper etiquette.

The ad features a ‘cap-cracking epidemic’, with women flocking to the grocery aisles to get a whiff of the latest shampoo and conditioners.

Herbal Essences spokesperson Eunice Tan says: “Herbal Essences wants Aussies to feel liberated to “crack the cap” before buying their shampoo and conditioner and really explore and discover the right scents for them. We do ask that people crack the cap responsibly.”
