Theory Agency has partnered with QMS Media to deliver the OOH campaign.
Gold Coast residents will wake up to a splash of colour and comfort, following a Burleigh Heads’ business, Theory Agency’s activation to bring optimism to the city, through artwork.
The pro-bono project was the brainchild of creative branding agency, Theory who has partnered with digital outdoor advertising company QMS Media to bring it to life.
Theory Agency’s artwork will be displayed on outdoor advertising sites throughout the Gold Coast over the coming weeks.
The artwork boasts messages like, “We’ll get through this together” along with the hashtag, #TogetherGC – encouraging residents to spread positivity among the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
Since launching in 2019, Theory Agency, co-founded by Adam Mesaric and John Argyle has designed and produced several large-scale community artworks.
This new project, however, is specifically for the cause of helping Gold Coasters get through COVID-19.
“Among the current climate of fear and anxiety, communities are pulling together to ensure that we emerge from this crisis intact,” Mesaric says.
“We’ve launched the #TogetherGC billboards and posters across the Gold Coast to inject some much needed optimism. Little sparks of optimism can have an immeasurable impact on our city and the need for a positive voice has never been greater.”
QMS chief marketing officer Sara Lappage says that Theory Agency’s design led campaign was exactly what local communities need at this time.
“The team at Theory have created a visually engaging yet simple campaign that will help unite and inspire community spirit aross the Gold Coast reminding us all that while we need to implement social distancing, we can still remain close together by providing ongoing support and care for each other during these unprecedented times," Lappage says.
“We are proud to work with Theory Agency to bring this campaign to life and create something truly memorable for the Gold Coast community.”
Theory Agency has invited cafes and other local businesses to get in touch to be sent posters to display, with the mantra that “design has the power to be a positive influence”.
