Fanta launches selfie campaign

A New Zealand campaign will see consumers inspired to "be more Fanta", by taking selfies with retail panels and share them will their social networks.

The campaign, by Ogilvy & Mather New Zealand, encourages shoppers to take a selfie using outdoor panels, accessorise the images on screen and email it to their social networks.

It's part of a push to build Fanta's brand awareness as a vibrant and playful brand, and get consumers to engage online using the hashtag #BeMoreFanta.

The campaign uses Ooh!Media's 'Excite' shopper panels for the execution, across five different Auckland shopping locations.

Ooh!Media general manager of New Zealand Adam McGregor says the screens "allow advertisers to start to explore how they engage their audiences more dynamically and provide a meaningful link from our retail panels to online and social via mobile."

The campaign will run for two weeks, with a wider retail campaign to be extended across New Zealand. Media is by Ikon.
