Save the Children releases a harrowing follow up to Most Shocking Second a Day video.
Don’t Panic London has released the sequel to its 'Most Shocking Second a Day' video to promote Save the Children UK’s initiative supporting child refugees in Syria.
The first ad, released in 2014, shows the horrors a young girl, Lily, encounters when a hypothetical war breaks out over London. It has received over 53 million views.
The new ad picks up where the first video left off, in a war-torn country. This time the young girl is pulled from her mother as she flees the country on a boat.
It follows her story as she faces a series of struggles from having to part with her mother to narrowly avoiding drowning to facing harassment once she arrives in her new country, echoing the isolation refugees have faced in Europe.
The issues faced by Lily in the spot are designed to tell the real stories of child refugees and bring awareness to the issue.
The new clip has been viewed nearly 200,000 times since its debut on Monday.
