The brand is helping couples who have had to postpone their wedding date commemorate in the "cheesiest" way possible.

Thousands of Australian couples have had to postpone their nuptials due to COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean they can’t still have a ‘slice’ day on what would have been their wedding date.

Domino’s is helping 100 couples across Australia commemorate their original wedding date in the cheesiest way possible – with a pizza party for two.

Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight says the pizza chain was always looking for new ways to provide customers with joyful experiences.

“Months of saving and planning goes into organising a wedding – but it’s all worth it when you finally get to marry the person you love and celebrate with your closest family and friends," Knight says.

“Thousands of Aussie couples were within weeks of their special day when the pandemic hit – forcing them to change their plans almost overnight, with some having to postpone their wedding for more than 12 months.

“Now, they will likely spend what would have been their wedding day at home, physically distanced from the ones they love.

“We know that pizza can’t solve all the world’s problems, but if there’s one thing it can do, it’s brighten-up a bad day.

“We want to give those who have had to make the emotional decision to postpone their wedding something to smile about and remember during this difficult time.”

Domino’s is offering 100 Australian couples who have had to postpone their wedding due to COVID-19 the chance to win free pizza.

This announcement comes just months after the pizza chain created an exclusive pizza-shaped engagement ring and helped two pizza lovers get engaged.
