David Jones adopted a classical style for its Christmas celebrations this year.
David Jones is celebrating Christmas in the woods this year with the release of its holiday campaign.
The 15-second spot features a traditional-styled Christmas dinner with a family gathering around gifts and food in the woods.
The classical-styled ad is a departure from last year's more kids-friendly campaign which followed the story of a gingerbread man journeying home for Christmas.
It also complements the department store's window display which divided passer-bys this year.
The Victorian-era themed display was considered too mature for some, who said it would deter children usually attracted to windows, while others appreciated the return to a more elegant display.
Myer also released its Christmas campaign this week to launch its special bauble.
