The biggest threat to your beautifully painted walls is not mould or damp but a hoard of children at a costume party. Oh boy.
Kids are messy. Ridiculously so even. Dulux has used this insight to spruik its Wash & Wear interior paint, which can withstand juice, cupcake icing and other random food thrown by mini ballerinas and Flavor-Flavs.
It's the third ad from Dulux to feature 'Barry', a character very enamoured with his kids and paint.
“I think a birthday party for a group of five-year olds is the ultimate product test. We let them go wild and even threw in a couple of friendly dogs for good measure,” said Dulux marketing manager Lisa Madigan. “The Dulux Wash & Wear walls were smeared, slimed and spilt on – and passed with flying colours.”
The ad was directed by Gregor Jordan, who was behind the camera on feature films Two Hands, Ned Kelly and The Informers. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was the creative agency.
It will run across TV and in-store.
