The Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation (ALNF) will launch its annual indigenous literacy appeal on 8 November.
A TV campaign has been created by Eleven Communications on a pro bono basis and features Bob Hawke and ALNF ambassadors Peter Overton and Cathy Freeman among others.
The campaign highlights the fact that only one in five indigenous children in remote indigenous communities can read at a minimum standard.
The campaign will run until the end of the month and is supported by a website.
Two Feet Films, Michael Kennedy Photography, Fanatic Films, Take Two Creative Audio and Arizona Productions all provided pro bono support to the project.
