Advertising gets ample criticism but what about when it does something good, like turn air into drinking water?
Technology university UTEC and Mayo Draftfcb created a billboard in the town of Lima in Peru that quite literally turns the air into portable drinking water.
Receiving less than an inch of rainfall each year Lima is a very dry city however with 98% humidity in the air, there may be a solution to the lack of clean drinking water. UTEC engineered a system inside the billboard that captures the humidity in the air and turns it into water through a reverse osmosis system.
The campaign not only aims to provide clean drinking water to residents but to also aims to encourage school leavers to enrol at the university.
