Paul Hogan coined the phrase "Throw another shrimp on the barbie" back in the '80s. Well, Meat & Livestock Australia has something to say about that. It hijacked the launch of Hogan's comedy tour in Canberra's city centre yesterday with a satirical protest convoy, complete with a helicopter and fleet of scooters, to promote a new message: "Throw another steak on the barbie". The activation, created by BMF and UM, was part of MLA's 'Nothing Beats Beef' summer campaign – reminding Aussies that "that we're a nation that barbecues steak, not shrimp".
