A talking golf ball and '80s disco music would be enough to confuse the best of us arriving for work at 5am. But McDonald's restaurant manager Georgia takes it all in her stride in the conclusion of the fast food chain's campaign to urge Aussies to rethink their preconceptions of being one of its employees.
VCCP kicked off the 'Enjoyment Bonus' campaign for McDonald's in February to thank staff. Three employees were nominated to choose something they would enjoy as a bonus. Films were made about the choices and ran on YouTube and on the McDonald's website, and Facebook fans and customers were invited to vote on who should win their 'bonus'.
VCCP has now launched a film of restaurant manager Georgia, who fits in managing a Macca's alongside studying law, finding out she has won her bonus – a golfing holiday in Mauritius.
Melissa Roseworne, director of HR and training at McDonald's Australia, said: “We want our crew members to see their role as much more than just a job. We're dedicated to ensuring the enjoyment of our employees and continually work with crew to make sure they have the training, flexibility and support they need to achieve their goals – both within and outside of our business.”
