Rum maker Captain Morgan has served up a road safety campaign with a pirate twist to remind consumers to always make sure there's a designated driver on a night out.
The spot shows Captain Henry Morgan having a wild time with his crew while being rowed back to his ship by a designated driver.
The campaign is supported by the tagline 'Designate a driver, Captain?s orders'.
Diageo Australia marketing director, Matt Bruhn said “The idea behind the ?Designated Driver? ad is that you can still have a great night out with your mates providing you have a designated driver to get everyone home safely at the end of the night. It?s a serious message but delivered in a humorous and engaging way which encourages young adults to make positive choices for themselves."
The ad will run on YouTube and in cinemas for six weeks.
