Young Guns: Maddie Lee at Revolution360

By AdNews | 27 June 2024

In this series, AdNews spotlights young talent in the Australian media, marketing and advertising sector. This time it's Revolution360 account executive Maddie Lee.

Time in current role/time at the company:
I’ve been at Revolution360 for almost three years and an account executive for more than 18 months.

How long have you been in the industry?
About four years.

How did you get here? Was this always the plan?
I was always interested in sales. I started at the company as an intern in marketing whilst finishing my final semester of uni. Once I finished, I was offered a role within Revolution360 and have been working in sales ever since.

Who is your right-hand person/who guides you day to day?
I can’t pick a singular person as the team at Rev360 are always helping each other! It's a great dynamic! Especially my team in Sydney, the reps are excellent at guiding each other through any challenge.

What’s the best thing about the industry you work in?
I'm a people person, so building relationships with clients and team members is what I love doing most. It's been great to put my chatterbox skills to good use! It's also really gratifying being able to see a campaign come to life from start to finish.

And the biggest challenge?
Working on briefs that don’t come off, especially fun ones that would have been awesome to see come to fruition. That’s the nature of sales though.

Whose job have you set your sights on in the future?
I’d love to move into an account manager role in the near future.

Where do you turn for inspiration?
My friends and family. I’m very lucky to have some positive and inspiring people surrounding me who lift me up daily. I also love to get outside if I’m feeling uninspired, particularly going for a walk or to the beach!

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
I love reading! I can get through a good book within two days, so then I have to start another one. I love the stories but there’s also a big sense of accomplishment.

In five years' time, I'll be:
Still in the industry, doing what I love and building relationships.
