WPP AUNZ's annual general meeting (AGM) of shareholders is going virtual due to restrictions on public gatherings because of the coronavirus crisis.
The company, the majority-owned Australian ASX-listed arm of the world's largest advertising company, plans a live webcast and voting by proxy on May 7.
Shareholders will be able to lodge written questions via a form which must be lodged by April 30.
"As a result of the current Australian and NSW government restrictions relating to public gatherings and the COVID-19 pandemic health risks, we regret to advise that it is not possible to host shareholders and members of the public in person at the AGM," the company told the ASX.
All voting will be conducted by poll using proxies in advance of the meeting.
Among the business to be decided at the AGM is the Remuneration Report, setting out the salary and bonuses for senior executives, the election of directors and approval of a grant of options and rights to CEO Jens Monsees and COO John "Steady" Steedman.
"WPP AUNZ appreciates the understanding of shareholders as it navigates the changing business conditions posed by COVID-19," the company says.
