Woolworths to sponsor Hamish and Andy

Hamish and Andy will have new sponsors when their drive time program hits airwaves in June, with Woolworths sponsoring the show.

With Hamish and Andy's show set to start up in June on Today's Hit Network, the sponsorship from Woolworths has been made on an exclusive basis, and Woolworths' chief marketing officer Tony Phillips was full of pun-related praise for the duo.

There's nothing Cheap Cheap about Hamish and Andy,” Phillips said.

“And we think they're pretty fresh. Woolworths is delighted to sponsor their return to the airwaves."

Meanwhile, Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) said it wasn't surprised by a large amount of interest shown by brands to sponsor Hamish and Andy's return to radio.

“Woolworths recognised early the opportunity to tap into Hamish and Andy's large and passionate fan base and their return to Drive on Today's Hit Network,” SCA national sales director Andrea Ingham said.
