Cartology, Woolworths Group’s retail media business, has added four new senior team members as it builds capability and creates its own agency sales team.
Among them is Jessica Hunter, formerly commercial director at the Daily Mail Australia, who starts as head of agency partnerships from June.
Hunter says she feels privileged to take on the new role to launch the newly created agency sales team.
"We aim to be an extension to the media agency, providing access to customers across the trusted Woolworths network, utilising our rich customer knowledge and data," she says.
"I look forward to working closely with our agency partners in the coming months.”
Other appointments are Steve Geelan as head of product and platform, Jodie Koning as head of marketing and insights and Sean Richardson as senior manager of client strategy.
Cartology, launched in July last year, uses data-driven marketing solutions across owned in-store, publishing and digital channels within the Woolworths Supermarkets and BWS ecosystem.
“Our clients are increasingly looking to us to deliver data-driven marketing solutions with meaningful commercial impact at the moments that matter most," says Cartology managing director Mike Tyquin.
“At this time, we are seeing a clear acceleration of trends in the retail environment for how customers want to engage with brands, particularly digitally. As we start to think about a world post COVID-19, connectivity to customers is more important than ever.
“Adding this calibre of talent to the senior team to work with our FMCG and liquor client partners will significantly strengthen our marketing, product and partnerships expertise."
Steve Geelan will join the Cartology team in June as head of product and platform. Most recently, Steve's roles across Adshel and oOh! Media focused on data, digital trading and automation alongside product go-to-market strategy.
Geelan: “I'm delighted to be joining Cartology at this exciting time for the business and am looking forward to helping build and deliver the best products and experiences for all of our customers across our physical and digital properties. ”
Jodie Konin, previously oOh! Media group marketing director, joins Cartology as head of marketing and insights and brings with her over 20 years of marketing experience, working on both consumer and media brands.
Koning: “Cartology continues to build an exciting portfolio of media assets that connect brands with Woolworths customers in a meaningful way. I am excited about further building our media proposition and driving brand outcomes that are truly measurable."
