Supermarket giant Woolworths is bringing back its Bricks collectables range after two years.
The Woolworths Bricks Farm is launching February 8 and instead 80% recycled plastic like its 2021 launch, the 2023 Bricks are 100% made out of recycled materials.
The Bricks also have a Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA) certification, made from repurposed items such as refrigerators, safety goggles, and luggage handles.
Woolworths Group chief marketing officer, Andrew Hicks, said: “As Today’s Fresh Food People, it is important that we share and celebrate the role our Aussie farmers play in providing the fresh produce customers enjoy.
“Woolworths Bricks Farm has been designed to show the intricate ecosystem of an Australian farm. We hope the second chapter of our Bricks collectible once again encourages our customers to learn more about where their food comes from through interactive play.”
The Woolworths Bricks Farm includes a farmer, beekeeper, fruit and veg buyer, several farm animals such as the farm dog — a kelpie, The Odd Bunch fruit and veg, Macro products, a drone, a chicken coop, fruit trees and more.
Shoppers will be able to collect 40 farm-themed packs that make up a “farm ecosystem”, earning one Brick for every $30 they spend in store, online, via Metro60, Pick Up and Direct to Boot.
Bricks not wanted by shoppers can be returned to Woolworths stores to be recycled through its TerraCycle program.
