WiredCo. has been appointed by Red Bull Australia to work on various launches and other projects throughout the year, the digital agency confirmed to AdNews.

It is unclear at this time in what capacity WiredCo will be working with Red Bull.

The move was announced in a post on LinkedIn: "Red Bull, welcome to the World of Wiredos! Stoked to be working with the incredible team here in Australia. Watch this space."

Red Bull told AdNews that they are "very excited to be [working with WiredCo.]" and while the two companies are still planning out the exact details, "WiredCo. will work with us around the Communication & PR strategy for launching new Red Bull product variant."

Digital marketing agency No Standing counts Red Bull as a client, while Foundation Australia are the energy drink company's media agency.

In comments to AdNews, No Standing said: "Our co-founders, Sohan Karunaratne and Richard Penny, have been associated with Red Bull for over 15 years, working across multiple industries and brands. Since founding No Standing six years ago, they have collaborated with Red Bull on several projects and activations, including the Red Bull Music Academy, Red Bull Artist Series, and, more recently, the Red Bull Music Motel, where we contributed to concept development and production.

"Our team admire Red Bull as a global brand and is inspired by its can-in-hand marketing approach. We also have a long-standing relationship with Ange and Michelle from WiredCo. While we are not entirely familiar with the specifics of their engagement, we are optimistic that their collaboration will be successful."

WiredCo. was named Digital Agency of the Year at the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards.
