Whybin TBWA Tequila has appointed M&C Saatchi and Mark creative director Gavin McLeod as creative director, to work predominantly across its soon-to-be-launched agency The Integer Group.
Last week, AdNews revealed exclusively that TBWA Australia Group is set to launch retail marketing network The Integer Group in the Australian market. McLeod is the first staff member that has been announced for the new company.
Apart from working across The Integer Group, he will also perform some direct work across the wider Whybin TBWA Tequila network.
Whybin TBWA Tequila joint executive creative director Dave Bowman said: "We have worked with Gav in a previous life and he is the real deal. He's fiercely creative and he's also a gentleman. That's a pretty rare combination these days. We can't wait to start collaborating on some world class work and growing our business with him."
A replacement has not yet been found for McLeod at M&C Saatchi. M&C Saatchi worldwide chairman Tom Dery confirmed that the agency was currently searching internally and externally for a replacement.
The Integer Group is part of the Omnicom Group and TBWA Worldwide, with its head offices in the USA. The Australian office is the 11th global office for the gorup. The group has worked in other markets with clients such as 7-Eleven, Electrolux, BlackBerry, Johnson & Johnson, Kellogg, McDonalds, Procter & Gamble, Visa, Microsoft and Michelin.
