Whybin\TBWA Sydney has restructured its senior leadership team, promoting general manager Nitsa Lotus as the new MD of the agency.
Lotus joined the agency 10 years ago as an account director and led accounts such as St George, RaboDirect, Visa and Presto.
The Sydney office has not had a senior leadership member in the MD role since Peter Fitzhardinge left the agency in February last year.
Lotus tells AdNews the new role is necessary given the recent business wins at the Sydney agency.
“Sydney has seen strong growth so far in 2016 with the recent wins of Virgin Mobile, Bellamy's, GoDaddy as well as other significant wins for the group including Lion in Integer,” she says.
“Given Paul [Bradbury, CEO of Whybin\TBWA] is playing a broader role across Australia and New Zealand, it is important we maintain the momentum and focus around our vision here in the Sydney office.”
With Lotus' appointment, the agency won't be looking to the general manager role.
“We have the right structure in place to deliver against our vision with Roberto Pace as GM of PR brands, Liz Harper GM of Digital Arts Network and Georgia Bruton GM of Integer,” she says.
Bradbury says Lotus' work in the agency, including leading the recent pitch for Bellamy's Organic make her ideal for the role.
“Nitsa is one of the most passionate, professional and smart business leaders I have ever had the pleasure to partner with and I know her clients concur,” he says.
