Ladies and Gentlemen: meet the competition. The top 11 ad agencies vying for cinematic glory at the Australian Creative Excellence Showcase (ACES), have been named.
Finalists from BMF, Leo Burnett Melbourne, McCann Melbourne, The Monkeys, Saatchi & Saatchi, Lawrence Creative, Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, Goodoil Films, 303Lowe and Clemenger BBDO Brisbane will find out who takes the top spot on Wednesday 25 March at the Dendy Opera Quays in Sydney. Until then, fingers crossed.
ACES chairman and Y&R Group MD Andrew Dowling said the calibre of the finalists shows the strength of the work being done in agencies across the country.
“The quality of entries in this round were very strong,” Dowling said. “The quality is a good indication of the strength of Australian creative and the excellent work that is being done.”
The entries were judged at Val Morgan's head offices, under the chairmanship of Dowling, by a panel of creative industry experts including Publicis Mojo ECD Grant Rutherford, Ogilvy ECD Derek Green, GPY&R ECD David Joubert, Aldi Australia advertising director Sam Viney and AdNews editor-in-chief Rosie Baker.
