Big four bank Westpac has put St. George's creative pitch on hold, AdNews reveals.

AdNews reported the pitch in July, however industry insiders suggest recent senior appointments have caused the pause, AdNews understands.

Leadership changes include the appointment of Jason Yetton as chief executive for consumer, Anthony Miller as chief executive for business and wealth, and Nell Hutton as chief executive for Westpac Institutional Bank, among others.

Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi is the incumbent, appointed in 2015 and has worked with the brand since 2013.

Westpac, RAMS, St George Bank, Bank of Melbourne and Bank SA $70 million media portfolio is with Publicis.

Publicis CEO Michael Rebelo is on the board of governors for St.George Foundation Board.

Westpac did not reply to AdNews at the time of publishing. Publicis had no comment.

The last campaign from St.George Bank was its 2020 Christmas campaign via Saatchi & Saatchi, which followed 10-year-old Danny and his Little Dragon.
