Vizeum has been appointed as the media agency for Australian and New Zealand-based cloud accounting and financial services company MYOB.
The win sees Dentsu Aegis Network-owned Vizeum take responsibility for MYOB’s full-service media strategy, planning and buying. Publicis' Starcom has held the account since 2016, winning the media business from PHD.
“We’re delighted to have Vizeum on board. We felt their passion and enthusiasm for our business throughout the entire pitch process, and they have continually impressed us with their bigger picture, strategic approach," MYOB head of brand Ben Lemon said.
"We look forward to a longlasting partnership with Stephen and the team, as we challenge each other to achieve our shared ambitions.”
MYOB delivers business software solutions to small to medium-sized businesses that simplifies accounting, payroll, client management, websites, and more.
“It’s a real privilege to be partnering with MYOB. Ben and the team approached this honestly and transparently, which are very much the foundations of all great partnerships. Our aligned focus on helping businesses succeed was natural from the start, we are truly excited about our future together," Vizeum national MD Stephen Deane said.
“Our approach was very much informed by the wider Dentsu Aegis Network. I’m excited to leverage the specialist knowledge from across our group to push boundaries and deliver the very best business outcomes for MYOB.”
Deane, who has been leading the agency since July 2018 following the departure of Travis Day, was charged with growing the agency after former Dentsu Aegis Network ANZ CEO Simon Ryan admitted the group's agencies fell short of expectations in 2018.
In other Dentsu news, yesterday also saw the reshuffle of Vizeum's sister agency, Dentsu X, with national MD Angela Tangas exiting to take on a larger role within the group, to be replaced by Carat's Sam Hegg.
