The Department of Transport and Planning in Victoria has awarded Venetian Media Group's (VMG) Captive Vision Outdoor (CVO) a highly sought after competitive concession that will also allow sister brand Revolution360 to offer advertisers a host of new assets.
The contract will see CVO roll out up to 100 new Victorian advertising locations each year, including street posters, static and future digital assets.
The exclusive concession will help transform the streetscape by removing unsightly graffiti and illegal posters across the state.
“We can’t wait to get to work removing torn and defaced panels which are real eyesores for Victorians," says Peter Franklin, head of commercial for VMG.
"Replacing them with high quality and aesthetically pleasing posters, made by 100% recycled and uncoated paper stock.”
Josh Fitzgerald, National Sales Director for Revolution360 says the concession win is transformative.
"It not only drastically increases our coverage across Melbourne by complementing our existing footprint, but it provides our advertising partners high quality, impactful out of home site options in key locations," says Fitzgerald.
The state will also benefit from the move, through substantial savings on maintenance costs, as well as control over advertising placements, including high-end digital assets.
“We’re thrilled to be working with the Department of Transport and Planning, in a roll out that will be a hugely positive step forward in the bespoke OOH space in Victoria. We thank DTP for the opportunity to be able to expand our network into the digital space,” says VMG’s Peter Franklin.
Over the past 24 months, VMG has been awarded similar government and corporate concessions, including Sydney Trains, NSW Trains, Metro Melbourne Trains, ARTC and Queensland Rail.
VMG is the Australian-owned media company behind CVO and Revolution360 that also houses sports management agency, Aspire Talent Group, full-service advertising agency Yakkazoo, media planning and buying agency Frontier Media and digital agencies Sillyfish and Digital Native.
The contract, won via a competitive tender process, covers maintenance of certain arterial road infrastructure assets plus roadside development of bespoke outdoor advertising.
