Val Morgan Outdoor is further eyeing off digital experiential with the creation of a new role focused on boosting its capabilities in the shopper experience space.
Ronnie Navani joins the company as senior manager experiential tasked with helping media agencies innovate in the outdoor category.
Navani was previously the founder of P&C Media Group which was recently acquired by Val Morgan Outdoor and rebranded as Pump Extra.
Val Morgan Outdoor MD Anthony Deeble said that the company decided to hire a dedicated experiential manager in line with increased interested in digital out of home activations.
"We’ve had three market leading digital activations in the last few months; Pedigree, AMF and Energizer with more in the pipeline," Deeble said.
"We see this as a growth area for our business and clients have recognized the innovation we can deliver to engage shoppers, as such we have brought in some leading thinkers and innovators to support what we feel will be a big year in digital shopper innovation.
"As we build our network we continue to look for ways to better engage shoppers in their journey. We continue to invest in smarter technology and innovative products so that clients have a better opportunity to engage with their customers in a meaningful experience."
Navani said: “This is an exciting time to be joining Val Morgan Outdoor.
“I'm looking forward to working with innovative brands and media professionals to push the boundaries in the outdoor category.”
The news follows the launch of Val Morgan Outdoor's third digital experiential campaign in a matter of months with the company teaming up with Match and AMF Bowling.
The activation allowed passerbys to play a game of digital 10 pin bowling with brand ambassadors offering winners prizes and discount coupons at AMF bowling centres.
Val Morgan director of digital and innovation Matthew Bushby said: “This fun ten pin bowling experience coupled with sampling created a lot of excitement in the shopping centres over the busy school holiday period.
“The game and sampling opportunity was literally stopping traffic.”
