UnLtd, the industry’s social purpose organisation, is launching a basketball tournament for Melbourne adland.
The inaugural UnLtd: Big Basket will see 28 industry teams shoot hoops for good at MSAC in Albert Park. The games will be played 3 v 3 with teams from across the Melbourne media, marketing, tech and creative industries. The funds generated from the games will be donated to youth at risk.
The event will be held October 21 and is sponsored by Amazon Advertising and supported by the NBL and 3x3Hustle.
Paul Kent, head of Amazon AdTech ANZ, said: "All of us at Amazon Ads are delighted to be supporting the first ever UnLtd: Big Basket in Melbourne. It is sure to be an amazing day that not only brings the industry together but also raises important funds for the work that UnLtd do to help young people at risk.”
Tiffany Damm, general manager of UnLtd Melbourne said: “Basketball is such a big part of the Melbourne street life – you can’t walk far without seeing someone dribbling a basketball or shooting some hoops. We wanted to bring the industry together over this much-loved sport to raise funds for youth at risk and to find out who the industry basketball champions are."
Jaele Patrick, head of 3x3Hustle, said: “We are excited to partner with UnLtd and bring some 3x3Hustle to the industry! This format of basketball is fast moving, super competitive and highly entertaining to watch so come along and cheer your teams along and watch all the action!”
