Former Twitter MD Karen Stocks has secured a return to Google where she will lead the measurement solutions team in the US, AdNews can reveal.
Stocks will relocate to the US to take on the role in June.
Stocks left Twitter in October last year after more than three years in the role. Prior to that she spent more than five years in a variety of roles at Google, including managing director of mobile and social solutions for the Asia-Pacific region. Stocks has also worked at Vodafone for 12 years.
"I'm delighted to join Google once again to take on this new role focused on our measurement efforts. Measurement is a key industry topic, both locally and globally, and I look forward to making a contribution in this space," Stocks says.
Excited to say I am off to @Google HQ in the USA to lead the Global Measurement Solutions Team. Great company, great people, important work!

Her exit from Twitter came as a surprise to the industry, coinciding with an announcement that the business would lay off 9% of its staff globally.
At the time, Suzy Nicoletti was named as country manager, however, her title quickly changed to managing director.
Google welcomes the appointment.
