Twitter is offering generous deals to advertisers in a new push to get advertisers back on the social media platform, according to industry insiders.

Spend $1 million in a campaign and get $2 million in value.

The discount appears to be aimed at the US market.

Advertisers had paused their activity, on brand safety grounds, following the $US44 billion takeover by billionaire Elon Musk.

Newsletter Marketing Brew quoted two unnamed advertising executives who had seen emails from twitter: “The platform is offering advertisers what execs described as uncommonly generous deals in an apparent effort to boost advertising spend before the end of the year.”

The spend must be placed before December 31 and doesn’t include Twitter’s Amplify product, according to the email.

Twitter called the offer the "biggest advertiser incentive ever” on the platform, according to the email reviewed by Reuters.

Musk also says Apple has “fully resumed” advertising on Twitter.

Financial markets news platform Bloomberg reports Musk made the comments during a Twitter Spaces conversation.

“The billionaire, who didn’t elaborate further on Apple, spoke for more than two hours from his private plane during the chat, which had more than 90,000 listeners.”

Musk had accused Apple, a strong advertiser, of preparing to drop the Twitter app from the Apple store.
