The sharing of advertising revenue with content creators on Twitter (now X) is live in Australia.

The platform started paying out a few star performers earlier in July but now the deal is open to all who qualify.

“Ads Revenue Sharing is now live for eligible creators globally,” the social media platform announced.

“Set up payouts from within Monetisation to get paid for posting.

“We want X to be the best place on the internet to earn a living as a creator and this is our first step in rewarding you for your efforts.”

A few rules make it difficult to anyone but the big names working the platform.

You have to be a Blue or a Verified Organisation and have at least 15 million impressions over three months.

Billionaire owner Elon Musk started paying for content in July in the face of shrinking advertising.

The social media platform has been under pressure, with major advertisers worried about brand safety, since entrepreneur Musk bought the company for $US44 billion in October last year.

The renaming to X is complete.

And musk is staying in San Francisco

“Many have offered rich incentives for X (fka Twitter) to move its HQ out of San Francisco,” he says

“Moreover, the city is in a doom spiral with one company after another left or leaving.

“Therefore, they expect X will move too.

“We will not.

“You only know who your real friends are when the chips are down.

"San Francisco, beautiful San Francisco, though others forsake you, we will always be your friend."
